by a team including also João Sousa, Ph.D. (Director of Engineering), Martin Berendt, Ph.D. (Senior Scientist), Paulo Guerreiro, Ph.D. (Director of Product Development), Miguel Melo, M.Sc. (member of the technical staff), and Adão Monteiro, visiting student, to develop a high power and high stability L-band ASE broadband source, including techniques to suppress laser action. This work led to the development of Multiwave’s ASE Broadband Source in the L-band.
