Multiwave Photonics developed a multi-point fiber-optic temperature system for hot-spot monitoring, with the capability to be embedded anywhere inside of an oil-filled power transformer, being totally electric passive, immune to EMI noise and allowing a remote computer readout and control.

The public demonstration of the project entitled “Monitoring of temperature in high and medium voltage equipments using fiber optic sensors” will be held at Multiwave Photonics SA headquarters, on May 4^th, at 9h30 a.m. This project has been supported by Agência de Inovação in the scope of DEMTEC - Sistema de Incentivos à Realização de Projectos Piloto Relativos a Produtos, Processos e Sistemas Tecnologicamente Inovadores.
