We are pleased to announce that Dr. Andrew (Andy) Held has joined Multiwave Photonics, S.A., as Director of Business Strategy and Development.

Andy brings over 20 years of executive experience in lasers and photonics sales, marketing and business development.

Most recently Andy served as CEO of Visotek, a manufacturer of high brightness diodes.  Prior to Visotek, he was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Nufern, a specialty optical fiber and fiber laser supplier. Before joining Nufern he was Executive Vice President of Quantronix Lasers, a manufacturer of high power lasers and laser marking systems. Prior to that, he was Director of Marketing at Spectra-Physics Lasers where his group covered a broad range of OEM, Industrial, and Scientific laser products. Andy has also worked as a Sales Director at Continuum Lasers.

Andy received his B.S. in Chemistry and Ph.D. in Laser Spectroscopy from the University of Pittsburgh and was an Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellow at the Technical University in Munich.
