At Multiwave, we constantly innovate our products to offer increased value to our customers, by providing advanced features that are made possible by the latest technological advances and innovative engineering. Through a close dialogue with our customers, such features are planned and introduced to further advance their competitive advantages.
One example of such advances is provided by the recent launch of the MOPA-M-HP-20 pulsed fiber laser, a highly innovative and cost effective laser that meets and exceeds the performance offered by diode-pumped solid state lasers in high finesse applications at a fraction of their cost. The MOPA-M-HP family of products are cost-competitive and adept in a wide variety of application areas such as ID card marking, metal marking and engraving, photovoltaic materials processing, resistive trimming and many more.
Multiwave Photonics announces that starting August 1, 2010, the current MOPA-M-HP-10 pulsed fiber laser will be upgraded to the same platform as its more powerful companion MOPA-M-HP-20. All orders received on or after that date will be delivered using this new configuration, allowing for higher flexibility and improved matching of laser operation to the application requirements.
Multiwave will continue to support its customers that engineered their products around the previous MOPA-M platform and will assist them to migrate to the new platform if and when that may prove advantageous.
The new MOPA-M-HP platform includes a significant number of changes from the previous MOPA-M platform. In particular, the new platform allows for up to 32 factory pre-programmed pulse profiles, up to 8 operation modes, full synchronous digital control for on-the-fly and true real-time changes of all pulse parameters, on a pulse-to-pulse basis, as well as user selectable digital or analogue laser power control and pulse burst equalization control. In addition, the new platform offers a more robust control interface and lower power consumption.
