Multiwave is a SPIE Corporate Sponsor and exhibits its products – pulsed fiber lasers and specialized optical sources based on fiber-optic technologies – at BIOS and Photonics West.
At BIOS, Multiwave will be at Booth #8922 and will display its ASE broadband sources for OCT imaging, discussing novel results in OCT imaging obtained with its 70nm wide source at 1µm.
At Photonics West, Multiwave will introduce its novel MOPA-DY line of pulsed fiber lasers, starting with a 20W model, in which Dynamic Pulsing™ is made available to minimize HAZ and unwanted thermal effects in processed materials. Dynamic Pulsing™ is a proprietary Multiwave technique (patent pending) that replaces longer laser pulses by fast bursts (10-50MHz) of shorter laser pulses. Each burst can be externally triggered as any other single pulse in Multiwave lasers, between single-shot and over 500kHz.
Multiwave will also introduce its new USB Controller and control application to fully control its line of pulsed fiber lasers. This Controller allows the user to mix software-generated controls (say output power level) with user-provided control signals (say external trigger and/or gating signals), for maximum flexibility.
Multiwave will also display its MOPA-M line of pulsed fiber lasers optimized for materials processing, focusing on a range of applications from silicon processing to precision marking of metals and plastics. Multiwave will also be exhibiting its MOPA-L line of pulsed fiber lasers optimized for laser ranging and LIDAR.
